Bethesda Medical conducts enhanced medical examination at the Onboard Centre.
Medical examination to certify fit for work
You should receive your worker’s medical examination report within 3 working days AFTER they leave the Onboard Centre. The email will be sent to the employer. It contains the completed medical examination report with clear indications on whether your worker is certified fit or unfit for work.
If a follow-up examination is required
If there are abnormal findings (except colour vision), your worker will need to go for a follow-up examination. A referral memo will also be issued together with the medical examination report.
If the worker is certified fitness status is indicated as – “PENDING further assessment with Specialists”
A: If the abnormality is 2b VDRL
He will require further assessment and diagnosis at DSC.
Once an appointment has been made from the clinic, please take note of the TIME & DATE.
- Please bring along worker’s IPA Letter, Passport, Doctor Referral Letter & LAB Results (as attached in this email)
Do note that each consultation with DSC may range between 3 to 6 visits with the doctor. It is only on the MW Final Visit with the doctor, will only DSC provide the “FIT FOR EMPLOYMENT” memo. Do send us a copy once you receive it and we will prepare your MW medical report for our doctor to endorse. Once your worker has started on the treatment, do inform MOM and request for an extension for the WP application.

B: If the abnormality is 1 Chest X-Ray
There are abnormal x-ray findings and appointment will be made with Tan Tock Sen TB Control Unit (TBCU) or Respiratory Medicine Specialists,
- Once an appointment has been made from the clinic, please take note of the TIME & DATE. Please bring along worker’s IPA Letter, Passport, Doctor Referral Letter & LAB Results (as attached in this email) and a copy of the x-ray film.
- Digital Copy of X-Ray – You may need to purchase a digital copy of the xray and ask your worker to bring it with him for the appointment. Please contact the Onboard Centre the migrant worker was from
